Flip flop redo!! Yay!!

So I've recently seen a lot of flip flop refashions all over the web. In the spirit of summer, I came up with one a little different from the rest. (At least to my knowledge.) They are, for the most part, quite simple. So let's get started!

What you'll need:
A pair of flip flops
Some leather cord
Fabric strips (about 4x44-45")
Scissors
Hot glue gun
Sewing machine or needle and thread
Wood beads with a large hole (optional)

I started off by cutting out the straps on the flip flops. You'll be left with a bottom with 3 holes in it.

Next take your leather straps and tie a loop that's about 1 inch long. So about 3 inches of leather should do for that one. Once you've made your loop, put it through the hole between your toes and glue the knot into place.

The knot glued into place.

My helpful love gluing in the leather for me. ;)

While you wait for your glue to dry, start sewing your straps. I folded them in half lengthwise with right sides together & stitched up one side. Turn it right side out and tada!!

You're almost done! Now the fun part begins, tying them up!! You will have so many possibilities to try with tying these up, and to be honest, that's the best part of this whole project!! The other fun part is coming up with ideas of things to use for straps. The possibilities really are endless, so have fun!!

I hope you have as much fun doing this as I did!! If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to let me know in the section below and I will try my hardest to help you out.
